FRASSATI INTERNATIONAL

AN EXCEPTIONALSETTING

COLLÈGE ET LYCÉE FRASSATI

FRASSATI INTERNATIONAL offers the perfect opportunity for international students to learn French in a local school. We are a Christian all-boys boarding school located in the Vosges.

The facilities of Frassati International, where international students are hosted and follow their program, are located in L'Étanche, in a former Cistercian abbey (18th century) in a restful, natural and green setting. This historic building is a few kilometers away from our local school facilities.

This typical French village is just a few kilometers away from the city of Vittel. Vittel is internationally known for its mineral water. It is a dynamic small town that offers various cultural and sports activities.

Established in 2007, Frassati high schools welcome more than 150 students from all over France every year. Our students achieve excellent academic results in national exams. Indeed, over the past 5 years, 99% of our students have passed their A-level with flying colors.

EDUCATIONAL PROJECT

Our school primely aims at fostering our students' interest in intellectual work. We want them to build positive critical thinking, open to the world and to otherness, and develop the ability to interact with others in a friendly environment.

Our institution is open to everyone, both to intellectually gifted students and to those who have less ease. To reach this goal, teaching and personal work are customized and tailored to each student. Everyone is simply encouraged to give his best.

Smartphones and the use of the Internet are limited within the school during the weekdays to keep detrimental distractions out. This restriction stimulates a real cultural and language immersion.

HOST FAMILY

Students are under the care of a French family, two week-ends per module of 5 weeks.

SPIRITUAL LIFE

As a Christian school, Frassati also offers various spiritual activities. These activities are not mandatory for our international students but provide further opportunities to improve their French skills and experience cultural interactions on a variety of topics.

These include the following activities:

  • Catechesis.
  • Daily prayer times.
  • Masses.
  • Other highlights throughout the year.

PIER GIORGIO FRASSATI

"Sadness must be banned

from Catholic hearts"

The figure of Blessed Giorgio Frassati is closely related to the identity and the educational project of our school.

Pier Giorgio Frassati was an Italian student and mountaineer. Pope John Paul II beatified him for his exemplary human and spiritual values.

Good mood, benevolence, a sense of endeavor and sports are all essential elements that represent our core identity and guide our educational project.
